As Christmas quickly approached, UMC contacted us about a possible ad space buy in New York City's Times Square. In a little over a month, I was able to concept, create and animate an entire campaign that flooded Times Square with a warm Christmas glow.
Working with UMC's "Connect with Joy" theme, we decided to show New Yorkers "connecting" with one another amongst the backdrop of iconic NYC apartments.
I animated over 14 characters that offered the viewer a chance to find something new each time they watched it.

As soon as these went up in NYC, I flew to NYC with my family to experience these in real life. The movement, the red glow, and warm messaging really stood out amongst the hectic ad-heavy nature of Times Square.
Originally, the campaign was meant for Times Square, but the client enjoyed it so much they asked us to adapt it to be used as their primary Christmas campaign, which included Connected TV, Social Ads and Billboards across the nation.
